It's your time to relax and escape into a remote world to immerse yourself in this old-world tranquility and enchantment of Nile river cruise.

  • Staggering Rock-Cut Temples and Cruising the upper Nile

Today we begin our day very early and drive to Abu Simbel, one of the most incedible sights of Egypt. The two great 'Temples of Abu Simbel' stand in the far south of Egypt, guarded by giant sculptures of Ramesses II, the Egyptian pharaoh who ruled about 3200 years ago. As you walk down, six statues of the cow-headed goddess of love - Hathore will greet us at the Great Temple of Ra-Harakhte. Their eyes seem to follow us no matter where you stand, as the statues continue their role as gatekeepers. Admire the Temple of Ramses II which is impressive both inside and out with enormous facade and huge trove of bas-reliefs inside. Observe the fascinating details and intricate carvings that tell the story of Ramesses life - Ramesses sits on a throne of his enemies, Ramesses paying homage to the gods, sculpted figures of Libyans and Hittites, Ramesses on war.

Return back to Cruise and embark on the Nile cruise for an iconic experience. We shall visit the west bank of river Nile, the magnificant Temples of Edfu which is dedicated to the falcon-headed god - Horus and Temple of Kom Ombo that honors the crocodile god, with mummified crocodiles found close to the entrance.

The 2200 years old temple of Edfu is one of the best-preserved pharaonic monuments and took 180 years to complete. The entrance gate of the temple is monumental in scale, with the twin pylons measure an impressive 118 feet tall. Adorning the walls are reliefs depicting the Feast of the Beautiful Meeting, the annual reunion between Horus and his wife, Hathor. Return back to the cruise and continue cruising elegantly along the river as Antony and Cleopatra did so almost 2000 years ago.

  • Exploring the Fabled Tombs of the East Bank

Watch an ancient world dotted along the Nile river that slowly unravel as the morning sun rises. Post breakfast, proceed to the magnificant stepped Temple of Hatshepsut which is the masterpiece of architecture. Hatshepsut is the first women pharaoh who ruled for more than two decades. Admire the stepped platforms, pillars and vibrant reliefs set against the desert backdrop.

Ancient Egyptians believed that a setting sun symbolized the end of a life, so they buried their pharaohs and monarchs in tombs facing toward the west hidden in the mountains which is known as Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens. During Egypt's New Kingdom (1539-1075 B.C.), the valley became a royal burial ground for pharaohs such as Tutankhamun, Seti I, and Ramses II, as well as queens, high priests, and other elites of the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynastie. The Valley of Kings has 63 magnificent royal tombs where you may descend into the mysterious atmosphere of King Tutankhamen's Tomb and admire the glistening treasures of King Ramesses VI's Tomb. Spend rest of the day by the Nile and enjoy the mesmerizing sunset.

  • The Temples of East Bank

The sunrise over the River Nile is a striking sight as bands of color linger on the horizon with golden tones shimmering off of the blue water. In ancient Egyptian culture, the sun represented life. Since it rises in the east, the temples dedicated to the gods were constructed on the East Bank. Today post breakfast, we will proceed to the east bank of Nile and continue down the old Avenue of Sphinxes to the gigantic temple complex of Karnak and Luxor, where the golden stones glint beneath the desert sun. Admire the largest of all of Egypt's temples, the scale can only be comprehended when you stand in the main temple courtyard.

Proceed to Luxor Airport for flight back to Cairo. After a long day enjoy your dinner and good sleep.

  • Sublime Ancient City in Upper Egypt

Today we will be proceeding towards the Alexandria, founded by the Alexander the great in 330 B.C. The pharaohs light house was marked as the entrance of the ancient civilization and was one of the ancient seven wonders of the world. The great Library of Alexandria here was one of the largest and most significant libraries of the ancient world. We shall visit Pompey's Pillar, 15th-century Citadel of Qaitbay, the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa. Return back to Cairo and spend rest of the evening at leisure.
